Patrick D. Leathers
LEGISLATIVE & GOVERNMENTAL ADVOCATE
Patrick Leathers has been an attorney and legislative advocate in California and Washington D.C. for over 30 years. He initially served as Regional Attorney for Western Growers Association and later as Senior Consultant for Agriculture and Water with the state Legislature. Patrick is well known by key decision makers in the State Capitol, UC Davis, local governments, and throughout California. A native Californian, he grew up farming in northern California and owned Cassadys nightclub in Davis during law school. Patrick is Managing Partner of his firm Clean Tech Advocates, located near the State Capitol in downtown Sacramento, California.

Sherrie Wise
PROJECT & PROGRAM MANAGER
For over 20 years, Sherrie has been intimately involved with California Politics at the state and local levels. Sherrie was the in-house legislative analyst and government research specialist for large law and advocacy firms before starting her own management company. Sherrie has successfully managed several professional trade associations and enjoyed producing large trade show and expo events, bringing buyers and sellers together.

Barry Melton
MUSICIAN, LAWYER, ACTIVIST
Barry “The Fish” Melton is the co-founder (1965) and original lead guitarist of Country Joe and the Fish, performing at the Monterey Pop and Woodstock festivals. Retired as Yolo County’s Public Defender in 2009, he practices law in Lake County and surrounding regions and pursues his musical passions and community activism.

Greg Anton
ATTORNEY
Greg Anton has been a leader in cannabis representation throughout his career, including his 2015 historic victory in the US District Court. In that case, litigated over many years, Greg obtained an order from a Federal Judge allowing his client to distribute medical cannabis in California without Federal interference. Greg has litigated both criminal and civil issues regarding cannabis and has helped clients develop creative cannabis products and services. He represented the first licensed cannabis dispensary in California, served as Counsel to the Director of The California Youth Authority, Counsel for Marin County Dept. of Citizen’s Services and has been a passionate consumer and environmental advocate.
Greg works collaboratively with clients and other professionals…the client’s personal and legal interests are Greg’s highest priority.

Steven Daiker
CPA/TAX ACCOUNTANT
Steven Daiker has been in public practice for over 35 years, with an emphasis now on clients having ownership interest in cannabis related businesses. He has represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service and nearly all state taxing authorities. His primary focus is income taxation and client tax representation.

Thomas Pate
CALIFORNIA WATER EXPERT
Thomas Pate is a graduate of Humboldt State University in Environmental Resource Engineering specializing in Water Resources and Fisheries. As a leading expert on water resource management in the CA with State and Local governance experience, he is well positioned to provide technical and policy expertise to responsibly nest the emerging Cannabis Clusters within the State’s water and ecosystem resources.

Alan Trist
CULTURAL ANTHROPOLOGIST & PUBLISHER
Alan Trist was part of the Grateful Dead’s management team from 1970 to 2014, with a focus on song licensing and copyright. He was editor with the Hulogosi publishing cooperative in Eugene, Oregon in the 1980s. The Cambridge-educated anthropologist continues to work with the cultural legacy of the 1960s.
